FABB Academy of Coffee

Thailand

How long have you been a CQI In-Country Partner (ICP)?

Since 2021

What does it mean to your company/organization to be an ICP?

After we become ICP in Thailand, we will work and gather the potential Q Grader to evaluate quality of coffee as standard of CQI with the farmers we have been working with. The consumption of coffees, green bean and also roasted bean is developing and increasing every single day in Thailand. So, this is a wonderful opportunity to promote in-country cupping programs and events to create community and build and maintain cupping skills.

Provide a summary of what your company/organization accomplishes and include mission if applicable:

FABB Academy of Coffee is first premier boutique coffee institute in Thailand certified by the international coffee authorities since 1994. We have over 800 students from many provinces in Thailand and also neighboring countries such Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, China, Taiwan, Japanese, Korea, and others. We have post diploma students who come back to us for our excellent education system and service. We have growing numbers of new students every single month. We would like to continue providing this service, this time just with the entitlement of ICP.

Our mission is to stimulate the Thai public's interest in studying the art and science of coffee and to inspire a new coffee culture.

What is your relationship with CQI/the Q Program?

FABB AOC invites Q grader instructors to conduct the Q Grader course since 2019, in our own laboratory but unfortunately, the plan we had in for this year was affected by COVID-19. Looking on the bright side, We would like to be a part of you to further promote in-country cupping programs and events to create community and build and maintain cupping skills here in Thailand.
