Coffee creates opportunities. CQI’s Global Coffee Fund invests in scholarships and fellowships to expand access to those opportunities, with a focus on the places where coffee is produced.

Invest here in the future of coffee quality.

Grants

CQI Global Coffee Fund grants are tax-deductible contributions to CQI earmarked for needs-based scholarships and fellowships. They can be made in any amount, by anyone, at any time.

How do grants work?

CQI will work to match your grant with specific scholarship and fellowship opportunities.

We are constantly developing investment options and prioritizing them based on potential for impact and recipient needs.

We work with CQI partners, instructors, and other stakeholders to identify worthy candidates for scholarships and fellowships as well as opportunities for dedicated training sessions. In some cases, a scholarship or fellowship may be issued individually, but mostly CQI awards them in bundles as part of training sessions created exclusively for scholarship or fellowship recipients.

Occasionally, a large grant may be enough on its own to finance one of these training sessions. More commonly, CQI will bundle smaller grants until there is enough available to issue an award and convene a session.

Regardless of the size of the grant, every external grant to the Global Coffee Fund will leverage some co-investment from CQI, whether cash, in-kind, or both.
