What do you think are the benefits of taking the Q?

In addition to learning useful tools for the specialty coffee business, Q Grader candidates learn how all tasters process sensory information. Through the course, a coffee taster will better understand their own strengths and weaknesses - all the while learning how to improve upon them.

What other activities do you do in the coffee industry?

Currently CEO and owner of www.WreckingBallCoffee.com, Co-founder at Good Form Coffee Educators www.GoodFormCoffee.com in San Francisco, California, and Quality Evaluation Specialist at The Coffee Quality Institute.  

Served on the SCAA’s Roasters Guild Executive Council 2003-2007, was a charter member of the World Barista Championship Board of Directors, head judge for Taste of Harvest African Coffee Conference and The Philippine Quality Coffee Contest, among other things.

Was awarded a 2019 fellowship to The JBF Women in Entrepreneurial Leadership by the James Beard Foundation - the preeminent organization in the USA which recognizes and promotes excellence in the food and beverage industry.

Credited with coining the term "third wave coffee" and identifying its relevant concepts.
