CQI is pleased to announce the launch of an exciting new coffee project, called Q-Project Thailand, with the goal of increasing coffee producer income and raising coffee quality in Thailand. This activity is the result of a cooperative coalition between CQI, Bolliger and Company, and CQI Instructors, and is hosted by various Thai governmental entities.
Q-Project Thailand will train coffee producers and processors in the skills and knowledge required to deepen their understanding of their product, produce higher quality and higher value coffees, and connect with green buyers both in local and international markets.
Phase one of Q-Project Thailand will begin immediately with a Post-Harvest Processing Good Practices Workshop on February 23-26, 2023, in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Participants will be selected via a competitive process and will represent diverse sectors. If you are interested in attending this non-certificate class, please follow this link to submit an application.
Over the next 18 months, Q-Project Thailand will include multiple training sessions covering foundational coffee quality evaluation and sensory skills, post-harvest processing, as well as attendance at trade events.
The project will host a launch event at World of Coffee (Greece) in June 2023 as well as the Thai Coffee Fest (Bangkok) in July 2023.
